OMB has won the limited-invitation architectural competition and was commissioned the design and supervision of the Kuwaiti Embassy in Amman. The design symbolized the Kuwaiti traditions and culture through the base that has four courtyards in allusion to the Behbehani house complex, one of the best preserved examples of Kuwaiti vernacular architecture; an N-shaped tower hovers over the base with its “legs” extruded from the facades of the courtyards represents the Kuwaiti openness to the “Other”, to the future and symbolizes a gateway of friendship between Kuwait and the host country Jordan.

Although the podium (base) has some traditional elements such as mushrabiahs and arches, but the interior space is modern housing a small mosque in Kuwaiti vernacular style.

The 7000 m² building houses both the ambassadorial and consular sections of the Embassy. The Ambassador’s office is located on the fourth floor overlooking breathtaking views of Amman.
